This rice cake made from sweet millet powder is kneaded into round shapes and rolled in bean powder or mashed red bean. It is mainly consumed on Jeju Island. In the Jeju dialect, omaegi stands for “millet.” The dish is considered a must-try food for those who are traveling to Jeju Island and can easily be found at rice cake shops at the fifth-day market or the marketplaces in the area.
