This is a steamed bun filled with pork and minced vegetables. Steamed Vegetable Bun forms the dynamic duo of steamed buns in Korean cuisine, the other being the Steamed Bun with Red Bean Filling. Steamed Vegetable Bun is filled with minced pork, salt, black pepper, cabbage, onions, chives, and carrots, making it somewhat similar to mandu in taste. The difference, of course, is the steamed bun part: Made with flour, milk, and yeast, the dough can also be made with corn powder, unrefined rice wine, and mugwort. Convenience stores across Korea have also picked up other fillings, such as sweet potato, cream cheese, and pizza.
