“유자화채 – My Favorite Citrus Delight”

Citrus and Pear DrinkThis cool and refreshing beverage is made with thinly sliced citrus peel and pear, pomegranate, and citrus juice. Citrus is grown widely in Namhae, Gyeongsangnam-do, and harvested in November. It has three times the vitamin C content of lemons, so it helps boost the immune system and prevent colds. This eminently presentable dish is made by alternating yellow citrus peel and white pear in a bowl, mixing honeyed water with citrus juice, and floating the pomegranate seeds on top. It is a colorful and dainty bowl that pleases the eyes before the taste buds. The drink itself is a refreshing harmony of the tangy and bitter notes of citrus with crunchy and cool pear and fresh notes from the pomegranate seeds.
